Mindfulness CBT

I emailed Terry the other day for further resources about Mindfulness CBT. Below is his reply. Thanks, Terry!

Here are a few resources:

THE initial Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy web site (originated and based in the U.K.): http://www.mbct.co.uk/

Another main site for Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (they list a number of excellent resources on this site under the “Books & CDs”, “Clinical Research”, and “Resources” pull-down tabs): http://www.mbct.com/Index.htm

The book that lays down and scripts the whole 8-week program (available at the BYU HBL Library, or through Amazon.com): Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Depression: A New Approach to Preventing Relapse by Zindel V. Segal, J. Mark G. Williams, and John D. Teasdale (Hardcover - Nov 14, 2001) · Hardcover: 351 pages · Publisher: The Guilford Press; 1 edition · Language: English · ISBN-10: 1572307064 · ISBN-13: 978-1572307063

Another awesome, but expensive book, also available at Amazon.com (mine is still on order from the BYU Bookstore): Mindfulness-Based Treatment Approaches: Clinician's Guide to Evidence Base and Applications (Practical Resources for the Mental Health Professional) by Ruth A. Baer (Paperback - Dec 19, 2005) · Paperback: 448 pages · Publisher: Academic Press; 1 edition (December 19, 2005) · Language: English · ISBN-10: 0120885190 · ISBN-13: 978-0120885190

The BYU Library has a number of good resources plus, Amazon.com has a large number of books covering the topic of “Mindfulness-based” therapy. There is also a good amount of the Mindfulness-based model that Marsha Linehan has incorporated into her DBT model.
